Dispute Resolution

The Immobilienverband Deutschland IVD e.V., together with the consumer association Verband Privater Bauherren e.V. (VPB), has established an arbitration body under the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG).

Disputes between consumers and members of the IVD may be resolved through an out-of-court arbitration procedure.

Lorema Immobilien GmbH is a member of the IVD and is obliged to submit a written statement to the ombudsman’s office if proceedings are initiated. The company does not generally participate in dispute resolution proceedings before other arbitration bodies.

Following the recognition of the Ombudsmann Immobilien as an arbitration body under the VSBG and the participation of the VPB, parts of the procedural rules have been amended, including an expanded jurisdiction covering construction contracts.
